Catherine Scanlon is an illustrator, author and mixed media artist from Maine. As an avid gardener and lover of flowers, she gains inspiration for her floral designs from the colorful flowers that she anxiously awaits each spring in her perennial gardens as well as the wildflowers, leaves and mushrooms she finds in the woods that surround her home.
Her favorite flowers in her garden beds are the peonies and narcissus that once grew in great-grandmother's garden. Catherine lives in mid-coast Maine with her husband, teenage son and their ancient rat terrier.
